Prototyping Design

You may have an idea for a product, but:

  • Do you have the expertise to actually design it?
  • Can you generate a working model/prototype for testing?
  • Can you produce all the required drawings?

Prototyping generally involves a lot of trial and error which can be very expensive. Getting as much design and testing completed ‘virtually’ can dramatically reduce costs.

At some stage the physical working model has to be produced. In software it is still virtual, but moving to a real product build is still where you start generating significant costs. The working model is for testing of basic functionality, initial market testing (letting potential customers use it and provide feedback) and is the starting point for getting the manufactured version of the product priced.

We have strong design capabilities, 3D printing facilities as well as relationships with engineering and software partners.
